Need For Speed Payback

Need For Speed Payback is the result of us looking at our fun driving through an action movie lens. The stakes for driving fast are higher, involving heists, power struggles, and a revenge quest. But the heart of our game is still about driving really fast in hot cars in a gorgeous world. That’s serious fun to me.

Dishonored:Death of the Outsider PS4 Games

Dishonored doesn't mess around when it comes to DLC - just look at how substantial the gameplay and lore additions were in the first game's Knife of Dunwall and Brigmore Witches packs. Standalone expansion Dishonored: Death of the Outsider involves Daud (the main character from those very same DLC add-ons), but stars Billie Lurk (voiced by Rosario Dawson), Daud's second-in-command turned crucial ally in Dishonored 2. The two veteran assassins are on the hunt for the Outsider, the seemingly omnipotent being who bestowed Corvo and Emily with their supernatural abilities. You come at the Outsider, you best not miss.

Dead by Daylight : PS4 Games

An intriguing asymmetrical survival horror, this sees four players trying to survive the night in a variety of terrifying settings. The survivors play third person, trying to scavenge supplies, shelter, and weapons, while a fifth player takes on the role of a serial killer – with a variety of character options, including psychotic nurses, deranged hillbillies, and supernatural wraiths – controlled first person. Already a success on PC, this console release looks to bring the frights to PS4 and Xbox players.

Final Fantasy 7 remake: PS4 Games

You wanted it so badly, and pretty soon, you're going to get it. Fans had been pining for the seminal RPG Final Fantasy 7 to be remade with slick modern visuals, and at E3 2015, Square-Enix finally obliged with a glorious glimpse at Cloud Strife's big comeback. We've since learned plenty about Final Fantasy 7 Remake, like the fact that it's planned to be split up along full-game-sized episodes, and features action-heavy real-time combat in the same vein as Final Fantasy 15. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the original FF7, so hopefully we'll be celebrating with FF7 Remake before long.

Gran Turismo Sport: PS4 Games

Sony's Gran Turismo series is a legend in the racing genre, but players itching for ultra-realistic driving simulations have a lot to choose from these days, with competitors like Forza, Driveclub, and Project CARS taking advantage of GT's absence on modern consoles. With any luck, Gran Turismo Sport can bring GT back into the limelight with the series' PS4 debut. It's been a long time coming, but GTS should have the kind of obsessive detail, lifelike handling, gorgeous vehicles, and stupidly pretty tracks (with 4K and HDR support on PS4 Pro, of course) that racing sim fans have come to expect.

Days Gone: PS4 Games

If you think zombies have been done to death, well... you're right, but that isn't stopping the PS4-exclusive Days Gone. The enemies in this open-world post-apocalypse aren't technically undead - the so-called 'Freakers' are actually infected humans who have gone feral and seem eager to devour our hero Deacon (voiced by and modelled after Sam Witwer, who you might recognize as Starkiller from Star Wars: The Force Unleashed). What really sets the Freaker horde apart is just how many can be chasing you at once; there are times when they're practically flooding out of the environment, and all you can do to survive is simply run. Another PS4 Pro optimised game that promises to look incredible.

God of War: PS4 Games

Having torn the Greek pantheon asunder, Kratos (now sporting a scruffy beard) has set his sights on a new mythology to conquer: Norse. The fourth main entry in the legendarily brutal PlayStation series - God of War - drops the numbering and looks like it'll force Kratos to control his endless rage, as he acts as the father figure for a young, as-yet-unnamed boy with latent lightning powers. Don't worry, you'll still slay plenty of fantastical creatures along the way - but expect a lot more character development and quieter moments in between all the carnage.

Divinity:Original Sin 2 PS4 RPG Games

Anyone with a penchant for deep, story-driven RPGs viewed from the isometric angle like the PC adventures of old already knows and loves the first Divinity: Original Sin, which presents a fantasy world on a massive scale with support for two-player co-op play the entire way through. Divinity: Original Sin 2 is upping the ante two-fold, allowing for four players to team up, each making their own decisions that have repercussions on the narrative and combat alike. If you're a sucker for RPGs that really emphasize the role-playing, where your character's race, class, demeanor, and actions all send ripples throughout the rest of the game, this is one to watch.
